If anyone wants to be on the list and has NOT yet signed up, you have

I missed the info. on this box. Can you please tell me how this one works,
who is eligible to sign up and what we have to do. The name sounds like fun.

Thanks in advance.
Dee

Anyone is eligible to sign up for the box if they are willing to pay
one leg of the postage to another person on the list.

It's pretty simple - just a letterbox that comes in the mail! :)

This is for anyone who dosn't want their home address to become public
information: to send your address for this letterbox send it to
Autumn's email not the public post, and for those who have already
posted, if you want to remove it you can go back and delete so that
the whole world won't know where you live. :=)

Thank you catbead! I was just going to suggest that very thing! To
send me an email, just click next to my name on any of the posts I've
written. or - send it to autumn at shadowslight dot com

Saturday's the deadline - everythings ready I just need to print the
final list of addresses, and put a stamp on this puppy! :)

Well, I guess I just found "A Little Bit of Sunshine" Nautilaus was
the next person on the list for this letterbox also. Too bad for the
other people on the list. Purple Iris

If I weren't so lazy, I would refer you to SIlent Doug's website. He has a
great glossary. Of course, that requires me to find the link in my messy
desk top.

A postal letterbox is one that is mailed through the "regular" mail to
people. It is a lot of fun to get them in your mailbox! Especially when it
is not boxing weather around here.

They typically contain a stamp and log book, so the stamping-in process the
same. (How you count them is entirely up to you--this is a subject of great
debate. SOme count them as finds; some count them seperately. I simply
don't count them and just enjoy the stamp) You then would mail them on to
the next person on the list.

Some have closed lists--you have to get on when they are annonced. OThers
have open lists--people are added periodically. Either way, if you watch
the LBNA list, you wills ee periodic postings.

Purple Iris's quoted post refers tot he fact that Nautilus apparently is on
a month-long vacation and a couple postal boxes are piling up. Whoops!
Being on the list for at least one of those, I am disappointed to have to
wait. But, I am sure it will be worth it.

Thanks Mama Stork,

I too am on the list, I was just wondering if the remark ment that
this PLB was dead, lost, or something. I dont keep up on the talk list
but I would like to find more of these PLBs' It is a great way to keep
in the swing of things. I cant get out on the trail very often but the
trip to the post office is one I make every day.
